Our Popular Game Types

Select one of the four options below to read more about the game mode. We have lots more to choose from so please ask staff!

The players are divided into two, three or four teams, and wear a correspondingly coloured Battlesuit. Players should only zap players of the opposite colour, as there may be a penalty for zapping a fellow team member. Players have unlimited shots and unlimited lives.

When zapped, a player is deactivated for six to eight seconds. During this time, the player’s weapon is inactive, but the player can still be zapped, so seeking a safe hiding place is necessary. At the end of this down time, the player is reactivated and may return to the action.

Bonus points are awarded for destroying in-field targets. To destroy an in-field target, the player must zap it three times in a row without missing or being zapped themselves. Opposite colour (enemy) and neutral in-field targets may be destroyed, while identical colour (friendly) in-field targets should be defended from the opposing team.

Special points are accumulated by zapping other players and destroying the in-field targets. Special points are required to activate some of the advanced special abilities available in this mission.

Each time a special ability is used, the requirements for it increase making it more difficult to obtain.

Colour Conquest is a mission type where different coloured teams battle it out, each trying to convert everyone else to their colour!

You start with 3 lives and you lose 1 life each time you are zapped. When you lose your last life, you have been conquered and you change to the team of the player who last zapped you.

When only 1 team remains, that team has Conquered and they win the round. Teams are then re-randomised and play continues.

You can get bonus lives for zapping other players or the targets.

When the game starts you will be randomly assigned a colour. Your battlesuit will tell you what colour you are.

You can get bonus lives for zapping other players or the targets.

All players are deactivated with a single hit, but higher level players will have slightly more downtime.

As team colours are such an important part of this game, your battlesuit will dimly display your colour even when you are deactivated.

Thrown in the middle of a zombie outbreak, a group of players must survive against a small but growing number of the undead. Survivors are divided into up to four teams and must defend against both zombies and rival teams.

Survivors have armour that makes it harder to get infected by regular shots, although they can still be deactivated, much like being knocked down in a zombie movie. While deactivated, they are particularly vulnerable to zombie bites. Survivors must work with their teammates to avoid being infected, while defending against rival survivor teams. Once a player has been infected, they have limited time to be cured before they turn into a zombie themselves. While infected, their Battlesuit will warn them that time is running out to find a cure.

To be cured, a player must use their anti-zombie tonic. Survivors may begin the game with a single tonic (level dependent) that can be activated by holding in the special button. Additional tonics are awarded by destroying in-field targets.

Much like in zombie movies, a survivor may not necessarily tell their teammates they have been infected, to avoid being cast out of the group. It is up to each survivor to decide how to handle being infected. Some players may wish to enlist the help of their teammates to reach an in-field target before it is too late, while others may keep it a secret and turn on their friends!

If a survivor turns into a zombie, their Battlesuit will change colours to indicate they have switched teams. Once a player becomes undead, they cannot be cured and will remain a zombie until the end of the game. Zombies have the ability to go into stealth mode, giving the illusion of being a deactivated survivor. Zombies fire slower than survivors, but are relentless, as indicated by their low downtime. Fortunately, more powerful weapons will slow them down. A missile will deactivate a zombie for a longer period of time.

Zombies have a limited number of lives. When their lives are exhausted, their Battlesuit will announce “Lives unavailable”, and they become “defeated”. To become reactivated, they must be zapped by another zombie.

Players play as individuals and zap any other player that they encounter. Players have unlimited shots and unlimited lives.

When zapped, a player is deactivated for six to eight seconds. During this time, the player’s phaser is inactive, but the player can still be zapped, so seeking a safe hiding place is necessary. At the end of this down time, the player is reactivated and may return to the action.

Bonus points are awarded for destroying in-field targets. To destroy an in-field target, the player must zap it three times in a row without missing or being zapped themselves. All in-field targets are considered neutral and as such may be destroyed by all players.

Zapping other players and destroying the in-field targets accumulates special points. Special points are required to activate some of the advanced special abilities available in this mission.

Special abilities become available only as the player increases their skill level. It is not possible for a player to change skill levels during a mission.

Each time a special ability is used, the requirements for it increase making it more difficult to obtain or more expensive to use the next time.

LaserBall is a futuristic sports game, a fusion of laser-tag with popular ball sports such as soccer and basketball, where the aim of the game is to advance a “virtual ball” across the arena and score at the opposing goal.
At its simplest, LaserBall can be played by newer players but it also has enough depth to be playable in a competitive league with experienced players.

Players are divided into two teams. Each team has a goal. Play takes the form of a number of rounds. At the start of each round, players must start at their own goal and zap it once to activate themselves. Players cannot interact with any other players or aspects of the game until they have activated themselves in this way.
As the round begins, one active player will receive the ball. They will get a Battlesuit message so they know they have the ball, and their Battlesuit lights will flash rapidly so other players can also see that they have the ball.
The aim of the game is to get the ball to the opposing team’s goal, where a single zap of the opposing target (by the ball carrier) is enough to score! The player with the ball can advance it themselves by moving though the arena, or the ball can be passed to a teammate by zapping them.

The winning team is determined by how many goals are scored. Like in all points games\sports it is possible for a game to end in a draw if both team have scored an equal amount of goals by the end of the game.
